how are people redeeming the origin codes?

as title, ive given away a few origin codes, bar 2 that i actually wanted myself....

when i try to use them though i get :

i know, i know, its my fault for thinking origin would work. but i rarely use it so thought id take a punt at it again ;)
 
Code servers were down last night due to the epic numbers of people taking advantage of the humble bundle, they were working this morning before work as I redeemed a few of my codes to leave them downloading. Must be down again now. Be glad of the message, last night it just sat there spinning the loading animation and never moved.
 
It's random as to whether it works or not. I have redeemed Dead Space3 and Crysis 2 Maximum edition within the last 30 mins. Download is frozen at 4% though!!
 
hmmm, ive been having this since around 8pm last night! but people have redeemed all the codes ive given away but i cant do mine! typical.

it must be my hatred for ea :P
 
I had no issues at all redeem codes during the primetime, it took about 40 seconds to load the redemption window but after that it was all good :D
 
I got in using Origin -- with delays -- at about 2am. But the codes won't go off, they'll be perfectly fine in a few days (possibly even more given the nature of the offer) once the fuss has died down.

It's a great offer, and for once I'm going to side with EA. After all, they're making no money from this, and the poor sys admins must be tearing their hair out at this temporary server hell.
