How are Silverstone cases? Anyone got one?

Just purchased a new rig and a Tj06 that I was very tempted to buy last year. If I don't like it I'll use the Eclipse my present PC is in now ;p

FFS! the mounting screws that come with these akasa amber fans dont even fit..whats with that? im like forcing them as much as i can and i can see it ripping the plastic surround bit on the fan :mad:

I wish I got some of those Acousti Ultra Soft Arrowhead mounts now...but still, why dont these screws fit?

Can someone also tell me the point of the front fan on this case? I dont get how it can be that effective when the front case is practically covering it anyway. hows it supposed to suck air in?!

Sounds like the right screws to me. They are supposed to self-tap into the plastic.

I think the eclipse is better than any lian li or silverstone
if you can get over the front plastic it's unsurpassed.

In your oppinion - but i would say a bit of a sweeping statement. I personally believe the Silverstone cases are superior in many ways, but each to there own of course. You pays your money.........

Silverstone are very good. They have been in maximum pc dream machine 3 time in a row. With the tj03, tj07, and tj09.

Hey guys is there anyway to replace the front fan on the tj04 with one of my amber ones? I dont think you can cause its not "optional" like the one on the back is..ignore the pink bit, I was gonna put the spare amber fan in there as it fits perfectly but cant see it helping much.

oh yeah when i installed the motherboard i put those cardboard type washer things over the holes on the motherboard before i screwed it in place which is what they are for right.

I've a 'old' TJ05 (plus ambers and the window) great case - heavy large, but quiet and cool :cool:

My Tj06 arrived end of last week, the build quality is spectacular, looks great and only problem is its inverted mobo meaning some of the psu cables are abit stretched. The black finish is excellent and it really looks the business. Will put on pics in comparison with the Eclipse tomorrow

yeah I kinda wish i got the TJ06, its almost the same price as the TJ04 and probs has better cooling. still, the tj04 looks amazing especially with the side window.

one thing though, the HDD LED activity light aint flashing even though ive got the connector plugged into the motherboard... :confused:

The power light is fine.
