OK, so you're supposed to eat regularly from the 'five groups' all the time but.. like many people... I don't.

Looking at this below it seems I need to pay attention more.

Basically I eat a LOT of grain and cereals, and a decent amount of meat and fish.

However, my dairy intake is low, my vegetable intake lower, and my fruit and sugar intake is mostly non-existent.

So which groups do you find yourself eating the most from?

My diet is fairly well balanced actually, we get deliveries of fruit, veg and meat from an organic farm every two weeks, and supplement that with other bits and pieces from the supermarket when needed. I like to cook from scratch, which makes it so much easier too.

We have a mixed diet.

We try and get veg in at least every other day. Fish and Red Meats 2-3 times a week. Pasts dishes are quite high in our household although I dont eat a lot of it. Lasagnes, Cottage Pies, Sausage Casseroles, Prawn Pasta with Red Pesto Sauces and always a Roast Dinner with plenty of Veggies on a Sunday :)

Everything I try and cook from fresh. Nothing better :)

When we eat chips they are oven cooked. Anything in a frying pan is cooked in Olive Oil

id say on avergae my diet is pretty balanced, although ive been eating to much sugary stuff lately

Good, and improving

So far this week I've have had my 5 a day fruit and veg every day. I've had fish, chicken, rice, nuts and cereals, plenty milk and a small amount of cheese.

Will be having 5 a day again today, some red meat for Tea and a cheeky pint of beer at the pub quiz later :)

Really been cutting out any sugary stuff as much as possible.

I have just spoken to the 'other half' about this thread and what we could do to possibly make it better and she informs me that her mate at work has her 8 month old daughter drinking full fat coke out of a bottle everyday

Some diet they have huh!

My diet is terrible as evidenced as just before i clicked this thread, i weighed myself at just under 95kilos.

Thats fat.
Time for a training montage and fingers crossed the broken bits of my body hold out till the big fight at the end!

Bread, cereals and pasta.

But yesterday all i had was a bowl of Cheerios at 11am, and went out for the entire day, till about 11 with no money = no fud, so had another bowl of cheerios when i got in, im hungry now :(

Today I've eaten, and probably will eat:

9am: 3 egg whites and yolk, on a piece of brown bread unbuttered
12pm: grilled chicken breast with some whole grain pasta and mushrooms
3pm: grilled chicken breast with mushrooms, green beans and peas
5pm: small sirlion steak with broccoli and peas
8pm: the rest of the steak with left over mushrooms and peas, and an apple/yoghurt.

Drinking water throughout the day, with a gym session at 6. :)

I barely get any fruit in my diet, but for me veg, carbohydrates and protein are usually at a decent balance (for what I want) and I get my fats from virgin oil in cooking, and sometimes having some milk.

I find it hard to get the 3pm meal in though sometimes, which is annoying.

I usually eat a pretty balanced diet, although I favour lower carbs and more veg than the version you show there. However, since I broke my collar bone I'm eating what I can't cut anything up so I've been eating stuff I can easily eat with one hand, and getting a lot of extra dairy for the calcium. Should be better soon though.
