How best to dispose of a PC, part by part or as a whole machine?

First off this is not a for sale thread but rather a question on how best to get rid of the pc that I have.

Times are tough and in its day it was not a bad pc but needs must and I could do with the cash rather then the machine.

Intel quad core 2.94 CPU
4gb Cosair mem
Acer striker extreme mobo
8800gtx graphics card
Coolermater case

You get the picture.

Is it best to split up a machine these days or sell it as one unit and where does one sell a computer or its components...on eblag??

Thanks for the advice and I hope this is taken in the light I ment and not as an advert.
 
Best advice would be to try and sell it locally on facebook groups, or ebay, or gumtree, you unfortunately wont have access to sell it on the Members Market on these forums until you have met the requirements to gain access to this section on these forums (details in FAQ)
 
Split it up, sell to friends, family, ebay, gumtree, facebook groups, cex (if you are desperate).

Selling as one unit only works if you have someone who doesn't know much and wont ask too many questions (sounds evil).
 
Will offer a piece of hair, half a mint, a toy soldier and a chewing gum that has been chewed for roughly 1 hour 15 minutes?
