How big is your Steam folder?

wow. What on earth do you do when you have to reinstall windows / have to back up your steam? You have steam on a separate drive? :P
 
167gb.

Still got MOH and Ghostbusters to download as well.

Love the beginning of this thread when people are amazed they have more than 10gb lol.

Yes I have a separate 1TB harddrive mainly just my steam games..;)



Plus it a little bit bigger now (added mass effect 2 & Battlefield Bad Company 2) :D

I have had all my games on a separate drive for years now.

My last laptop was a gaming laptop, and I ran my games from a USB drive.

When i got my PC, I just plugged in the drive, and many of the games didn't need reinstalling. For example, the non-steam versions of CoD1 & 2, and prey didn't need reinstalling, but Quake 4 did. Steam didn't need reinstalling - just run the exe from its new location, and it set itself up.
Though many steam games do need to register themselves on first run from the new location - you get the same setup screens you get the first time you run a game after downloading it.

Later, I copied the games to a second drive in the PC, and later still, upgraded to windows 7. It's VERY handy keeping your games on a separate partition or drive.
 
After just checking my STEAM folder after looking at SSD drives, 99.6Gb! And I rarely game now!
That 120Gb Reactor will now be large enough after deleting the games aI nearly never play!
 
Ah, 150GB, more than I thought :o

However if we include the whole "games" folder, not just steam, it's 223GB :o

Considering I've had my PC just over a year, I'd say that's a pretty decent amount of downloading :D
 
About 55GB, not all games installed. Would amount to nearly 70 or so GB with all the games installed I guess? Stuff like Source games/HL1 based games and other small games.

funny reading this forum as the first page everyone has about 10gb of stuff and they think that's a lot, and the last few pages most people are over 100gb! What will it be like in another 4 years!!

As for me, 0gb as I don't have Steam, internet too slow, 0.5Mbit/s :(
