Some of you have an insane amount of music in your collections :cool:

Right my mission has gone pear shaped! I'm ripping albums direct to itunes in mp3 format but a lot of the albums are showing up 3 or 4 times :eek:

Its driving me mad surely there is a way to just show them as a single album. If anybody wants to test the what's going wrong the latest album to do it is Eminem - Curtain Call.

I think its to do with other artists featuring on a track on an album.

113GB. 604 or so albums. Most at MP3's 192kbs+, a small proportion in FLAC.

What is this lossless people speak of? Is it just a higher rip quality?

I've got 18.4GB of music, 3505 files, sorted into 270 albums. Most of it ripped at 192

Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) is an example of a lossless format that tracks from a cd can be ripped to.

MP3's a compression algorithm so even at 320kbs, you lose some of the quality of the song in question.

1119 albums, 58.25 GB.

Not the best quality but it all fits on my 80 GB iPod so i'm happy.

32.59 GB.. only started buying CDs more recently.. quite a bit of lossless in there.
