How big is yours?

I'm working on an application as the moment and want to test its scalability.

If you have a big music collection could you post its size in the following metrics:
- number of individual tracks
- number of albums
- number of artists

And also if you can be bothered:
- longest track name (number of letters/symbols including spaces)
- longest album name (number of letters/symbols including spaces)
- longest artist name (number of letters/symbols including spaces)

Thanks for any replies.

you shouldn't need to ask this. you should be using the specs for whatever tags you're reading: id3/ape/vorbis etc

and my music collection is too puny to be of any help with scalability. :p

I agree with this tbh, if you don't stick with id3 you'll be creating problems for a lot of users...

Just FYI, however my collection is 9.700ish tracks. Got about 3,000 enqueued in Winamp right now. Over 230 separate Artists. Couldn't tell you the number of individual albums (I don't really use a player with a media library, I just use my directory structure to organise stuff, and I CBA to sit and count every single subdirectory that I keep each separate album in for you!:))

Longest artist name:
Richard Wagner - Wiener Philharmoniker - Sir Georg Solti

Longest album name:
Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & ******** [disc one {Brawlers}]

Longest track name:
Akt 1, Dritte Szene: 'Her mit den Stücken, fort mit dem Stümper!' (Siegfried)
 
I have 7400 different songs (possibly a few, but not many duplicates), 874 albums (this includes EPs, singles and a few collections of not properly released songs), 447 artists.

Longest track name is 102 characters incl. spaces ('What It Is Impossible Not to Know and What It Is No Longer Permissible To Believe in the United States' by Cloudkicker).
Longest album name is 133 characters incl. spaces ('Hurrah! Another Year, Surely This One Will Be Better Than the Last; The Inexorable March of Progress Will Lead Us All to Happiness EP' by Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies).
Longest artist name is 49 characters (Trippy Wicked & the Cosmic Children of the Knight).
 
- 11,169 number of individual tracks
- 805 number of albums
- unknown number of artists


- The Fellowship of the Ring - Howard Shore-Enya - 10 - Part of The Council of Elrond - Anarion Love Theme for Aragorn And Arwen.mp3 longest track name (number of letters/symbols including spaces)

thats all i can gather quickly

The final 3 are just guesstimates by scrolling down a list, but seems about right

Foobar is telling me I have 1060 artists (that's by folder structure, so there will be "soundtracks blah blah blah to consider) hanging around here, 3108 Albums and, according to windows Explorer, my music folder is... 253 Gigs (that is, just to be pedantic, broken into 43,524 files, in 4830 folders)
Longest Album = Concerto in C Major for Two Flutes, Two Salmoe, Tow Violins "in tromba marina, Two Mandolins, Two Theorbos, Cello, Strings and Harpsichord, RV 558;
Longest Artist Name= James Galway/London Oratory School Schola/London Philharmonic Orchestra/London Voices/Renée Fleming/Viggo Mortensen
Longest Track Name= Gods only know, I aint expanding every album.
