How can I block Facebook?

Tried that, seems to have no effect - type facebook into google & in you go.

Add this too:
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com

So your file will probably look like this:

PHP:
# Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost
::1             	localhost
127.0.0.1 facebook.com
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com

Reboot the PC after as well if it doesn't work first time.

Yeah I know but there are truth's in every joke and I wouldn't be surprised if some wanted pics of a 13 year old girl.

We all know that your "Good lord, pervs! I would never want to see pics of a 13 year old girl!" is clearly a veil.

Truth's in every thing.

I read in the news that Boy George's pet lizard has bitten 5 people over the weekend... I guess he needs to buy a calmer chameleon.

Where's the truth in that joke? :p

Talbs13 clearly wants kiddie pics the sicko.

Yeah, say him outside my neighbours last night!

I'll await the 'my daughters phone bill is £10000000 due to internet usage' thread!

Not an issue - its not to block my own daughter. ;)

Have a look in the router config (assuming they have one), Most netgear / linksys etc will let you block specific keywords.

Its my brother in law's setup that I'm asking for, he has no router.
