How can i get 2 gmail accounts ?

Hi, I am trying to get 2 gmail accounts 1 for me and 1 for my wife, the gmail site says i can only be invited to sign up.
Has anyone got any reccomendations ?

Get a mate in America to set-it-up otherwise you will have the lame @googlemail.com instead of @GMail.Com.

or you can use a proxy and just do it yourself

i've found that anyone with @googlemail.com can still be accessed using @gmail.com
