How can I get around this?

Ok, I've just ordered a 5.1 speaker system.

In the picture you can see unused Orange, black and green ports.

Underneathe the orange port, my Xbox 360 Y Splitted is connected (via line in) and therefore I cannot insert any 3.5mm jack into the above port as the splitter blocks it.

I just tried with a cheap 3.5mm connector extender, and then plugged my xbox 360 Y splitter into it but I got really bad crackling... Could this be because of a cheap cable?

Probably just need a little 3.5mm lead to get the splitter away from the back.. cable quality will cause crackling.

I can't seem to find a high quality 3.5mm extender anywhere... Not even from OcUK!

I got loads lying around. You just need a short gold plated extension cable.
