How can I make a file play on a dvd player?

I've got a video Windows Media Audio/Video file (.wmv) which is a file i've made for our nightclub tv screens. How do I get it from there onto a dvd which I can then play on a dvd player? Please help.

needs to be a dvd disc not a file disc if u know what i mean The dvd player is pretty old and rubbish and doesn't do anything fancy

Use DVD Flick to encode it into a DVD Video File (vobs etc) and burn it onto a blank DVD...

It also allows you to create custom menus, notes, subtitles etc.
Great for almost any DVD I've found to make.
