How can I share my wifi connection?

I assume he doesn't want to use his cellular data for this.

Then why not connect the other device to the WiFi network ;).

But that still doesn't explain why you'd use a hotspot anyway. Although i've never tried it, if you turn your mobile data off and switch on a hotspot, it'll just be like setting up a local network but without any access to the internet.

Samsung have an option for WiFi sharing but don't believe it's an option for stock android

I think the question that needs to be answered is - why don't you just connect it directly to the network?

You should be able to turn on your phone hotspot, and then use the PS4 wifi to connect to your phone. This will use your mobile data though.

If the PS4 doesn't support USB/bluetooth connection to your phone, then what you're after won't be possible.

If you connect tothe wifi on your phone then go to the settings page for that connection there's a button at the botton to create a QR code for that connection, if you screenshot the QR code and use google lens with it you'll get the password.
