How can i create a folder on my mac to share with my other PC which is on my network?

SharePoints is your best bet; it allowed you to share any director to Macs or PCs:

Have you tried the sharing control panel under system preferences? There's an option for windows sharing there. Once that's turned on, it should just be a question of making a shared folder.

You can only share your public folder with the default OS X sharing interface, Share Points gives you a GUI for defining your own shares and permissions.

You could also point people at /etc/smb.conf but I can hear the collective groans of the Mac community from here

Hehe, it's quite simple to do from the commandline, but it's even simpler to do it from a GUI, espectially for the average Mac user
