how can i tell my 680i bios number.so noobish!!

i cant load p24 on my ecs 680i!!

hi,just flashed my 680i bios(ecs) with p 24.i downloaded it,unzipped it and put the nvflash and bin file on my memory stick.rebooted and pressed alt and f2,a screen came up and without me doing anything it appeared to be flashing the bios.is this right or is there more to do.if its right how do i find the fact p24 is my new level...confused noob!!!

When it first boots, look in the top left hand corner, it will give you some system info and some codes - at the end of one of them codes it will say .P24.

If all you can see is an NVIDIA boot screen then you will need to enter the bios and set Bootscreen to [disabled].

You might want to consider shortening your signature to four lines or less m8 otherwise a kitten somewhere will die. ;)
 
hi,just checked and the number says p19???i have tried the nvidia p23 update and it says this has been done,is there any other way?
 
hi again,i have reloaded p23 as my bios,and i can see p23 in the top left corner.when i try to load p24 it wont let me,simply saying incorrect bios for this board.it is the p24 from the ecs site,tried the evga version and still the same message.now when i mentioned p19 on my previous post this was when i used the alt f2 method bios flashing,now i am using the nvidia windows update and it wont let me.is there a problem with p24 being incorrectly identified?

help would be greatly appreciated as this mobo is driving me mental!!!

i also have a p5b deluxe wi fi,is it worth going over to this instead?i have,like so many others,a load of hassle with the new UBER BOARD and cant quite justify its existence at the mo.
