On my vBulletin forum someone just joined who I suspected was a member who had previously been banned. I knew the banned member was from scotland, so I put the new users IP address into a whois, which said something about amsterdam.
But then he posted on the forum that he was from the UK, so I must be doing something very wrong. (assuming he's telling the truth)
What's the best way to get a rough idea of where someone is from? Even if it's just the country.
