It's a cycling event which seems to have the sole purpose of ****ing as many other people off as possible, especially motorists.

Surprise surprise, making a massive nuisance of yourself results in someone getting angry and lashing out.
 
according to Porto Alegre's Police Chief, Gilberto Montenegro it is not yet possible to say if the driver intended to run over the cyclists, maybe he hasn't seen the videos. However, Chief Montenegro has said that If intent is proven the driver may well face a charge of attempted murder.

OK so he may not have driven through the pack intent on murder, however he did drive through the pack knowing what the consequences would be. Same thing in my book.

No, just saying it's not at all surprising that when you do something that will clearly massively annoy a lot of other people, it shouldn't exactly come as surprise to you when one of those people lashes out in anger.

A city tradition. Like a car meet in a car park, except it's cyclists in the street on the last Friday of every month.

I suppose they were in the middle of the road, potentially blocking it (don't know how entitled to do so they are in context of the vid), but it doesn't constitute that kind of reaction! These kind of events give places some culture and variety but I can see why others might get a little annoyed. Sad state of affairs when there's people like this on the roads.

Group on push bikes whose sole reason to exist is to hack people off in heavy iron boxes in "getting injured when you hack people off" shocker.
