PS3 set to 60hz. 60hz TV goes off to get repaired. Plug it into a 50hz only TV. Can't see screen to change it to 50hz.

Any way of doing it? Cheers.

Do you get any picture at all? You could always try reseting the display, by switching the PS3 off and holding down the reset button for a few seconds on powerup. The console will do a double beep and should auto detect the video settings.

It's for a friend, says he can't see anything, but I will advise him to do the reset solution. Thanks.

If not, try using the composite cable that came with it, that is incapable of displaying 60Hz iirc, the PS3 may be smart enough to know what's plugged in.

i had to switch my ps3 from hdmi to composite as my tvs go in for repair, if you hold the power button for 10s it should reset the factory settings :)
