Hi,

My bothers iphone seems to have that issue where the wifi chip has come of the board and he's no longer able to enable it any more. As the MAC address is not showing up any more.

Looking on the net, there quite a few pages on it. I'll be honest and say this is the first time I've come across it, we have loads of iPhones at work, I had a few different models and all my friends have them too and this issue is new to me.

Has anyone else had it? I say it was down to his big rubber phone case.. Lol

How can a chip come off the PCB? I'd imagine it's an SMT part, maybe even BGA. Unless you mean it's developed a dry joint.

this is definitely the first ive heard of this and ive owned an iphone since the very first one :o
