How cool is iLife !?

iLife is ok, the apps are pretty basic tho.
I had a quick look at iWeb and it seemed too basic for me, altho I mainly use dreamweaver etc. I used iPhoto for a while before I got photoshop.

I had a mess around with grageband aswell and it's pretty fun :)
I don't think I actively use any of it now tho.

It's a good set of apps to get you started on a mac tho, brilliant that you get it free with a new mac :)

I'd never do that blog if it wasn't as simple as it was. Dreamweaver is just too advanced for an introduction to web site construction.

I completely overlooked iLife until I was properly shown it.

For things I'm 'into' I use more advanced apps, but for dabbling in fields you're not au fait with, it's fantastic. iMovie is ****ing awesome in particular.

Bear in mind at all times that it is FREE with a Mac, and £55 for the ENTIRE SET of applications.

It's amazing.

That's it, for getting into the field it's ace. No doubt after a while I'll want something more advanced, but anything more advanced right now would be intimidating.

I've not really given it much of a go. If I'm honest it was the first set of apps that came off my dock when I first got the mac.

The thing I have with it is, everything I would use it for I have Adobe software to do the same job.

iPhoto - I've got Light Room and Photoshop.

iDVD - I've got Premiere, After Effects and Encore.

iWeb - I've got Dream Weaver and Flash. Although I'm not a huge fan of Dream Weaver
for dealing with HTML code.

I think Garage Band is the only thing that might have more flexibility than Sound Booth but I'm planing on getting Logic with the next student loan payment.

I agree that they are good, simple apps for getting people into their respective fields who otherwise wouldn't be able to. For me though they are just a bit too basic.
