How did they get it so wrong! :(

The one thing that totally ****** me off about the new Terminator films is that the robots are extremely strong killing machines. They are programmed in the best way to end a persons life and that is their only goal.

Yet the first thing they do when they grab someone is not to crush their skull, or tear their head off......

They THROW them.

This always annoys me as well, in Transformers and Super Hero movies. The Hulk could defeat almost all enemies just by ripping their heads off, same with Superman, Iron Man, Thor....

LOL I somehow dont think that would be a very nice family film that Disney would put money into.. ;)

So glad it's not just me who's sick of the chuckathon routine...

Seen the deleted scene in Prometheus where the engineer confronts Noomi? Does he simply bash her brains out? Nooooooooo... He just chucks her about for a bit while giving her opportunities to get a few shots in with an axe.
Why is there a wierdly shaped axe on a spaceship? You tell me.

No idea why terminators just throw each other about when they know full well it won't do any damage...

T3 is what Robocop was by its 3rd film, an easy franchise cash in film.

Salvation would have been the film after the terrible one to reboot it, sadly that was a whores abortion of a film.

Theirs so many good story lines in the comic book world, its difficult how they cant get good inspiration for the franchise.

I'm going to go out on a limb here & say that I prefer the original to the 1st sequel. Its one of the few films I've seen in the cinema where I sat on the edge of my seat from beginning to end (I was 19 at the time though).

The 3rd is what others have said here (silly short on funny) & I've only seen a bit of the 4th so I can't comment on that one.

The Sarah Connor chronicles series was better than T3 by quite a large margin and done with probably less than half the budget of T3, Just a shame its gone.

Tbh, I tried to enjoy TSCC, but it just didn't seem to know where it was going imo.
Turning John Connor into an emo teenager got old, fast.

Had it's moments though and some interesting ideas (some better than others).

What did you make of the conclusion?

Yeah I loved the Sarah Connor chronicles. It wasn't perfect, but it was by far closer to the theme of the first two films than T3 and Salvation. I only watched half the first series when it came out, and really loved every minute of it. I really need to get the DVD/Blu-ray and watch the rest!

As for Salvtion, well, it's by no means a perfect Terminator film, but there were aspects to it that I appreciated more than T3. For example, I did enjoy how they connected John Connor and Kyle Reese. And I thought the fight at the end was reminiscent of Terminator 1 in some ways. However, the huge plot holes and the transformer like action scenes, didn't suit the direction they were taking the Terminator franchise. I understand that the film also had many re-writes with the script, and at one point I'm sure I remember reading that they re-wrote the script because a major part of the plot leaked onto the internet - one which featured John Connor being the terminator instead.

Just watched T3 as a result of this thread.

Surprisingly, I actually quite enjoyed it! Arnie had me laughing the whole way through. The biggest let down was the threat-less villain, but if you didn't expect T2 levels of epicness is was acceptable.

Obviously not a classic but watchable and amusing.

If you disengage your brain and just enjoy it as a saturday night action flick, it's enjoyable enough.

You shouldn't be laughing your way through a Terminator movie :D That shows how much of a **** take this film is.

The thing was, I enjoyed it expecting to laugh, and laugh I did :D

GET DOWN
DON'T DO THAT
YES I AM ****ING WITH YOU

... and my personal favourite:

WHERE IS JOHN CONNOR
"If I tell you will you let me go?"
........ YES
"... ok, he's locked up in the back"
*Arnie proceeds to lock the woman anyway*
"Hey! You said you'd let me go!"

I LIED
