But it might be more like café

It's got the pronunciation in Danish and Swedish but not Norwiegian I'd guess it'd be the same as the danish.

Mine was allocated when I started my uni course (2 decades ago!) and is a mixture of my initials and "che", which is because I was registered on a chemistry course. The name just stuck. As did a complex alphanumeric password I was given for access to a synchrotron at the start of my PhD.
No more thought than that.

P.S. Kaffe is the name of one of the people in Troll Hunter. That should help with pronunciation.

Always interesting to find out how other people read usernames compared to their original intent.

Judgeneo, for instance, I always read as judgeeeenio like he's italian or something. And while I'm here, is 5UB pronounced "five U B", or is it SUB but in leet?

Back many many moons ago I used to use Megabyte for everything, but almost always on forums and in games etc someone had already taken it, so switched to my other favourite character in ReBoot instead, Hexadecimal. Eventually shortened to just Hex.
