I was thinking earlier who (before the oct 2002 global date) was here first, but then I thought nah, thats been done before and tbh, who cares...

What I would like to know is how you heard about OCuK, not just the forums, but the shop as well. Word of mouth, looking for components, etc, etc.

Lets see how we go...

a friend told me he bought stuff from here a couple of year ago.

so i checked it out... bought a few things.. but took me ages to try and sign up to the forum as i needed a golden email address.

finally got signed up last year... but i used the site since 2004 i think

Bought some stuff off their site, after finding it in a Googel search. Saw the Forum link on the web site, been hooked ever since! :D

A chap i used to deliver newspapers to bought some pc parts from here..

I started buying bits, then a year later i signed up to the forums :)

I didnt do it for a year though, because registration didnt like Hotmail adresses :(

My OH introduced me after spending half his life reading lots of funny posts out to me :p and now I've outspammed him and have a bigger postcount than him :D

I'd been a member of some other forums before but got bored of the inane chatter and trolling that went on. OCUK was a refreshing change :)

A friend in RL pointed me towards the shop, and i used the forum to ask a few tech questions. And then it became my sort of internet home.

My school's resident uber-geek recommended it to me, so I bought my computer from here, and anything I've needed subsequently.

Found it when reading up how to overclock my K6-2 and got enticed into getting a Duron 700 guaranteed at 1GHz.

Joined the forum then 2000 ish, not sure.

Was introduced to the forums when I was back at school doing my A-Levels.

Cripes, that feels like such a long time ago!

I was looking to buy some PC components and I found theres a forum on the homepage of the site.

mate of mine told me i'd need to sign up when i built my first PC; he was quite right. now i dont have a PC, i stay for the inane chatter and trolling that goes on.

I first bought from the shop in 2000ish, didn't even notice the forums until a couple of years later when they were linked from bit-tech. I lurked for a while until registrations were re-opened and have lingered around like a bad smell ever since ;).
