The ages of 20 to 24?

Just curious, i'm about to hit the magical age of 21 soon, no longer a young chappie, and I was wondering if there is a bright light on the horizon :p

21 is still a young chappie.

I found the older you get the more immature you get and your toys get more expensive. :)

School up to 16, then Uni from 16 until now. (I'm 21 now). It's just been one long binge basically.
I hate the idea of getting old and having a real job. I like pretending I can still get away with partying all the time.

From the age of 20-24.... I worked... worked... worked some more... and still working. Felt like i've never had a break from work :o
Bright side - the older you are, the more people take you seriously

Err, school up until 18, then work until 20, then college until 22, then uni until now (23).

I still consider myself young, even though I've gone through your ~21 is no longer young~ barrier :(. I can't say much has changed, except I now spend too much money (I don't have) on restaurants back home, haha.

I coulda sworn a few weeks ago your profile said you were 18

I was at Uni, very fresh faced. At 24 I had graduated and was working full time doing what I enjoy.

Was seeing previous GF, that ended and met current Mrs and am still happy today!

Moved from Uni (Hertfordshire) back to Portsmouth and have been here since.

They were good years..

Finished Uni
Got a good job
Lost 5 st in weight and got fit
Took up rugby
First proper gf
Bought Gen 3 Honda Prelude 2.2 Import
Crashed the above being a prat
Good times...

My advice would be have fun, but be financially savvy... It's easier to set yourself up financially for the long term when you're young. All that money I spend on the Prelude is now gone and would be pretty handy at this stage in my life.

Have a good level head about debt, realising that house deposits and mortgages need commitment. Boys toys come, go and break. You don't need to impress by buying drinks for the whole pub.

Also, your true friends will be interested in you, not your material goods.

20-24...just about to turn 25...

Finished medical school...working full time...brought a house....now with long term GF...new car...........On the down side...to much routine, lack of time for hobbies & gym, generally, dont see friends/go out as much....pretty balanced on the whole.

Mine changed massively from 20-24

In those 4 years I managed to -

-Pass my driving test
-Pay off the mortgage on my house (they were a lot cheaper then..!!)
-Catch my ex cheating with my then best friend..!
-Meet my current wife
-Find a Job I love (and still do today)
-Become alcohol free..!!

In that’s time I....

Got a good job
Learned to Drive and passed test first time
Got my first Car
Moved into a flat with my Girlfriend...
...Who within 2 weeks of moving in gave birth to our first child. :)

So not much really.

21, got my first proper long-term gf, and we moved in together. Had crappy job in retail, quit, and lived off substantial tax rebate for 6 months.

22, split up, moved out, and did a combination of heavy partying and playing WoW, racking up the bulk of my debt in the process. Got new job in company I still work for.

23, new gf, lots of partying, racking up more debt. Minor step up in job ladder, but nothing game changing.

24, realised new gf was crap, dumped her, got my shizzle together and started to pay off my debt. Another job move, more money, more responsibility.

im only 21, i think life changes to however you want it to, mine hasnt a bit but as i say im only 21, but i am enjoying life so i dont want it to change at all!

dont worry about how much it may change, just live it as it comes

Was at Uni at 20, left at 23 and got a job I didn't like.

By the time I was 24 I had applied and been accepted to do a MSc to allow me to work in an industry I do want to work in and had a skill-less job until I started the course.

Now 25 and just finishing the course.

Also moved in with my girlfriend during that time.
