How did your life change from....

i always thought MiNxYyY was a bird? wtf?

i had a house by the time i was 21, and already moved again by the age of 24, i also have 2 kids now so its all happened in about 4-5 years. heh. i just wanted to settle down basically. i was fed up of going to town getting trashed looking for pasty. all got a bit samey!!

ahaa no matey :)

In between those ages, I graduated and went through a "getting experience" job and started my current job. a couple of months after 24 I bought a house. Not a great deal else has changed apart from some friends have moved away and some have moved closer. Net result is I go out less, but seeing as I have a house to pay for it's not too bad a thing.

Not got to 24 yet, 23 though, so far moved from a flat to a house, become a landlord and had a child...........so life between 20 and 24.....yes i guess it's changed a fair bit :p

I'm a bit jealous of some of you guys here :(
Some of you already have a house of your own at such a young age :(
I am working my arse off studying at the moment, and I once I'm done studying, I swear to myself to work my arse off till I become ridiculously rich.. guess that's everyone's fantasy anyways :o

20 - uni, part time job, lots of time spent on trains
21 - graduated, moved 120miles from home, rented flat with bf, full time job
22 - worked, passed driving test, got married
23 - worked, bought a house
24 - not much yet! trying to put a dent in the mortgage, collecting art / furniture, yet more work!

happier by the day - and long may it continue :)

I was quite lucky to be honest with you, I chose not to bother with uni and hope to go through life on experience alone, I was lucky I got a job which, while I didn't know it at the time, was perfect for someone who just wanted to get experience. When I started my job, I was a basic IT tech in a school where the IT infrastructure was basically falling apart and EVERYTHING needed updating, so over the past 4 years I've learnt more than I ever would have done at uni and now I pretty much run the place and hopefully this time next year I'll be the IT manager to gain experience in that role too.

Got a degree, a masters, did an arctic expedition with huskies and sleds, a couple of half marathons, traveled all over Europe, worked in Singapore 3 times, worked all over Australia and New Zealand for 3 months, worked in Marbella a couple of times, worked in Dubai, holidays in Naples, Tenerife, Ayia Napa, Ibiza, Puerto Banus, Nurburgring, Paris, Chamonix and more i've forgotten, carried out approximately 100 flights and have now become a partner and active investor in several restaurants. Also bought (and sold) my first car (Scooby:D).

damn.....

Did you really waste the years prior to uni, though? If I hadn't meandered to where I am then I could have been in a grad job by now (if I'd gone to uni at ~the right time~, etc). As it stands, I won't graduate until I'm 26, but it's all cool... if I hadn't had those four years between school and uni I wouldn't have met a number of lovely people, I wouldn't have gone on a cool Euro roadtrip, I wouldn't have met the hot temp and I wouldn't have got onto the pro bono programme I managed to get on at uni.

If you don't want to go back to uni... don't?

Yeah I did, in that I didnt' enjoy myself at all, and didn't even study hard so I haven't got something to show for my lack of enjoyment.

Things have picked up dramatically at uni, but I feel like I should be going to uni NOW rather than starting my second year :(

i put a copious amount of my hard earned up the wall between the age of 20 and 24 and don't regret a thing.
i also went to the USA 3 times

I'm 22 now, just graduated from my 4-year undergraduate course (Chemical Engineering). About to begin PhD studies at a very good university so things are looking good for the future - really tempted to stay in the realms of academia at the moment!

Bought a "proper" car this year ('54 Ford Mondeo as opposed to an old Rover 200) and in a serious relationship, so it all feels a bit more mature at the moment. Still waste far too much money on guitars/music stuff though :p

Just do the fun stuff post-uni. I did some cool stuff pre-uni (Thailand/Japan/Egypt/Rome/ten country Euro road trip/etc), but fully intend to do the post-uni thing, too. I need to go back to Japan, and see South America!

There's no point regretting x, y and z about your fresher year, just push on and enjoy the next few years to the max... life doesn't end after level one :).

Don't regret my freshers year per se, I had a good time, but as second year is rolling round, I don't really want to stay with the limited bunch of people that I know. I didn't build good groundworks to say the least.

When I was 20 I was at uni, house-sharing with friends and rather enjoying myself.

Now I'm 23, working full-time in a crappy job, and I've got my own place. All my friends from uni have moved back home/elsewhere so I'm largely on my own now, my social life is virtually non-existent. PS3 and 360 comes in handy on my days off.

Strangest thing is, as different as things are now, it doesn't really 'feel' all that different. Hoping to shake things up soon though, I don't like my job, so hopefully I can actually start putting my degree to good use. May even move to Canada if I can get work out there.

Was that something like this? How on Earth did you fund the above?!

Similar, it was run by Across the Divide, company that has some pretty cool excursions and expeditions which you can go down the route of charity fund raising or self funding, me and a colleague did the latter as we didn't have much time to raise funds but will probably go down that route next time as it cost about £4k for the week:eek: As for the rest, i've been making money since a young age and through various ventures and business opportunities.

Next fun thing I have planned is London to Marrakesh in £1000 cars which me and some friends are doing in August next year:D
