How do high end Androids/Windows phone compare to iPhone these days?

IMO WP7 is just as smooth as iOS, although the UI hasn't changed much since it first came out so if you didn't like it then you probably still won't.

Android is still not as smooth as either, but is close enough that it's not an issue.

Edit: no idea what you mean by screen/touch ability?

Quality of the screen and touch responsiveness....they were always an issue when I had an Android. (I have an iPhone 4s now)....Sometimes I would have to do things twice or three times to get them to happen.

Several android phones. Mostly mid-to-top end.

I quite like the look of Windows phone, plus I guess it will integrate well with Windows 8...would I be right?

What Windows Phones are the good ones? Thinking of selling the iPhone 4S and getting something else.

I've had a htc desire, motorola xoom and samsung galaxy note and never experienced touch responsiveness issues.

WP should integrate very well with W8, Microsoft are making a big push to have all their devices integrate together.

Best WP7 phone atm is nokia lumia 900, closely followed by the 800.

As title really. I always found the UI rather clunky and slow on an android/windows phone. Is that still the case? And the screen/touch ability to pretty damn poor.

Currently using iPhone4s.

Can't comment on Windows Phone but I can with Android. Android is absolutely lovely, I used it for four years. Had loads of hunting out various ROMS and flashing the phone, even network unlocked the bugger before selling it on.

The Android market is great as well, a lot of stuff is free compared to iTunes. iTunes is great for media downloads and Android doesn't compare in that respect. Getting media onto an Android is as simple as plugging in a USB, just drag and drop and you're playing.

iPhone doesn't just work, quite a lot of the time it doesn't and I've had terrible problems making normal calls using my iPhone, never had that problem with my HTC.

Don't know if I'll stick with Apple after my current contract expires but I'll certainly consider all the options. Even heard of a Ubuntu spin off, that could be very interesting!

Good luck making your mind up.

Mitz.
