How do i block an IP trying to access my network?

I use a super hub and getting a certain IP trying to access my network

i would like to black/deny this one IP at router level, can this be done?

i don't want to enable mac filtering

ive had a look on the super hub and there is no option for me to block an ip address unless im blind!

any advice?

maybe build a linux firewall? or use a different cable router with this functionality?

Are you trying to block an IP on the internet trying to connect in, or someone trying to connect using the wireless?

Well there shouldn't be much of an issue then. The superhub will only let in a connection from an external IP if either A) it's set up to forward traffic that arrives on that port to a specific local PC, or B) one of the local PCs has already made an outbound connection to that IP.

So unless you have software on a local PC that is opening a connection to that external IP you want to block, or you've forwarded ports that the external IP is trying to connect on, you have nothing to have nothing to worry about as the super hub won't allow the external connection anyway.

Dist is right. Your router will be getting hit all day from various wafty IPs. It only becomes an issue when it turns into a flood (multiple requests a second). If this is the case report the IP to your ISP.
