how do i change the format of a batch of images?

i have 100+ bmp's which i need to change to jpg's. is there a way of doing this without doing them all individually?

Got photoshop?

Read up on actions, then you can do a batch from the folder with the BMPs in to a new folder which will have the JPGs in.

Obviously hoping you know photoshop well, if you really haven't a clue I suppose I could help you out more

Also, I am sure infranview can do this! Check it out.

ive got photoshop 7, and i've found the actions window, but i don't know what to do next.

There are plenty of tools out there that can do this, lots of them are freeware too.
