i bought several mp3 from itunes but cannot copy them to CD - is there a work around? My wife is a school teaher and i have downloaded many tracks to teach the kids stuff.

Can someone help please as we don't want to buy whole original albums just for one track!

Many thanks Magoo

If you've bought tracks from iTunes, you should be clear that they're not MP3s - they will have an m4p extension, and are AAC files with "Fairplay" DRM copy-protection.

However, iTunes lets you burn an audio CD (which becomes a "normal", unprotected redbook CD) through the software itself. Make sure it's set to audio CD mode, make a playlist with the tracks you want, then burn straight to the disk. If you try to copy the files directly then of course it won't work - even if you have a device that can play MP3-CDs (a cheap CD player won't even do that) it certainly won't be able to play itunes m4p files. If you try to burn a CD using any software other than iTunes it won't be able to convert the protected file into an audio CD.
