how do i enable notifications

Hi i've been here for a while but use infrequently, and plan to change that. How do i enable notifications in this forum of responses to posts etc..

Bottom left, 'Thread tools' then 'subscribe to this thread'.

Unfortunately we're a bit in the 90s with the lack of modern notifications, the only way are email notifications.
