I had to reinstall windows a few times to get everything working, and now my SSD has slowed down a bit and I want to do a full erase on it.

I've been googling like crazy trying to figure out how to erase it, but I cant find anything.

I've unplugged all my hard drives and just have the SSD installed, I need it erased :(

Its a Crucial C300.

I already tried HDDerase, but it was incompatible with 64 bit Windows 7 (tried it from a Win 7 startup disk).

right you need version 3.3 of HDDErase, burn it to a CD then boot from it.

Make sure its plugged into any of the 1st ports and make sure the sata controller is set to IDE mode in bios.

Then its all easy peezy, follow the on screen instructions.

3.3 worked fine :)

Basically I messed up when installing my first SSD, and windows kept putting the boot sector onto a samsung drive, so as soon as raided my F3s no more boot. Took me lots of reinstalls to get it right.

My read and writes are a bit better now, I have it correctly set up as a boot disk after a fresh erase, so I shouldnt have to have many more nightmares and can start moving my games onto my Raided F3s :)

Glad you got it sorted :)

Whereas for my HDs i could use the re-format option on Windows OS installation, now its not possible and i have to use this 3.3 software??
