How do I fill this lighter?

A friend bought me a lighter, but I have no idea how to fill it?

How and with what do i fill it?

Anyway, looks like you unscrew the bottom thingy and fill it with lighter fuel

Those pics are making my eyes go batty. Could do with a new camera

You fill it with lighter fluid, and you fill it by soaking the wadding at the bottom AFAIK.

You lift up the wadding and squirt lighter fuel into it.

Edit: The screw holds the flint in. The hole in the wadding is for a spare flint.

Lift the cotton/foam stuff at the edge, and fill it with Zippo Fluid, but dont fill it right up or it'll leak.

Dont unscrew the thingy, the flint will fall out.

That's a Zippo, you soak the cotton bit with petrol.

yep, fill that pad up with lighter fuel. and away you go. doesn't take much tho,

it's a zippo, get zippo premium lighter fuel and soak the wadding with it. Petrol will also work well.

the unscrewable bit is where the flint lives

you squirt fuel (petrol or proper stuff onto the cotton wool bit.

It acts like an old style oil lamp with a wick

try pulling it apart.

Usually the top seperates and you find wadding inside which as said you soak in petrol.

yea its a zippo without an outer case lift up the flap of material and pour the liquid lighter fluid into the cotton wool wadding, dont overfill though.

Don't use petrol, get the proper lighter fliud. My mates eyebrows never were the same after that time....

don't bother lifting up the flap, just stick the nozzle through the hole in the middle of the pad, slowly fill until you can see the pad is getting soaked through, done. Give it a couple of minutes with the lid open after filling it that much though, it will likely go up in a fireball if you strike it immediatly.

Lol sorry this made me laugh so much, how to fill a zippo style lighter.

maybe cos grew up with them around me (my dad had one so did my uncle) it seems so funny how people dont know how to fill one up.

dont put too much fuel in, and when you first light it get ready to set fire to the surrounding area/and/table etc.

Not so much as to leak, but enough to give the wadding a medium soaking.
