How do I find a chief executives email

I set a lot of business cards at work, and email addresses are usually exactly what you'd expect them to be.

firstname.lastname@
firstnamelastname@
firstname@
firstnamelastinitial@
Bang one off to each of them and they probably won't all bounce :D

Not emails but company directors home addresses are stored by companies house. For a small fee you can obtain that information and send them a real letter. Whether or not they'd appreciate that is another matter ;)

once you have the name that's about as much as you can do to get in touch with them, you will get as far as their PA normally and then it's down to them whether you get beyond there
although saying that
our md's email addresses are just [email protected]

This shows the UK Chief Exec's name. Other than that it's probably a case (as other people have said) of guessing the mail layout. I'd guess christianname.surname@geopostuk. com.

At our company all the Chief exec's emails are read by his secretary first so chances are he/she wouldn't read it anyway.

don't forget:

firstinitiallastinitial

so for ScarySquirrel it would be ss@....

I have come accross a few of these.

It's probably pointless. Even if it does get to him, and he does read it. It would probably be forwarded to a member of staff who is employed to do that job (if it's complaint related that is)

Its not pointless. I had a complaint with O2 which had gone on for weeks. Emailed the CEO, his office picked it up and my complaint was dealt with within the day. And I received £50 compensation.
