how do i fix this

ok guys when i installed windows to my computer the sreen fit perfectly now after doing the windows updates there is a a black bar to the left of my screen where it does not match the sides how can i fix this ?

Either physical monitor settings or go into the display setting on windows.

Then adjust the position in the TV settings. I take it it's connected via VGA?

yer do you mean settings on the computer or on the actual tc menu

all i can se on picture setting on the tv is
aspect ratio
picture wizard
picture mode

pretty sure theres a setting in the igpu console or software,intel or amd where it lets you setup a custom resolution or adjust the picture to fit the screen

might have a scaling option also

im useing a intel core i5 3570k on a 37" lg tv

Really it should be somewhere in the TV settings, this is an annoying problem with VGA sometimes.

What LG TV model is it?

Check out the display settings of TV in the display menu.. You can set all over there..

hi just had a look at that a says just scan bit i am unable to select it can only select 16:9 and 4:3
