How do I force refresh rates?

Hi guys, (this could be graphics or monitor)

I want to force my tft to use 75hz at 1024 res (games) and to use 60hz at 1280 res (desktop and some games). Is there anyway to do this as with 1024 at 72hz the screen is all screwy?

if your using an Nvidia card it can be done from within the drivers

If you're using an ATi card, you can use ATi Tray Tools to force and lock refresh rates at specific resolutions.

Its just that samsung blamed it on my graphics card and said I should run 60hz, only 60hz at 1024 res doesn't work and results in the image being half way up the screen! (same happens when you run 1280 at 75hz which is clearly stated as fine on the box)

Is it a 913N? Sounds like it just needs 'auto adjusting' when you've set the refresh rate.

I personally use coolbits.reg and set it via the NVCP.

Hello mate, its the 920N and auto adjust does nothing - It goes to the right position when u first press the auto button and at 99% it scrolls the image back up the screen again

um, am I missing something here? are we talking about an LCD monitor. Cos I thought they only did 60hz anyway?

I'm just trying to work out if the panel is funny or if my eyesight has got rather poor because the text at this resolution is blurry! My mother worryingly finds it fine
