How do i know if im on an Emergency Tax code?

Started a new job a month or so a go and want to know if its sorted or not

Phone up the tax office and ask

I was on the wrong tax code, took about ~25 minutes to sort in total and I got a tonne of tax back that I shouldn't of paid.

Check your payslip, does it say "BR" under tax code.

yeah as above - BR means basic rate = emergency tax code
