Well if youve got a known brand of case im sure you can just google images and this will come up.
Then you can see actual proof.

im not sure, thats the thing. im guessing i would need to measure from mobo to side of case, and from socket to rear of case?

Take the side panel off, use a straight bit of wood across the side, place a ruler or tape measure on top of this pointing inside of case resting upto the CPU/ socket.

its about 6" from socket to side of case if thats any use?

also, im guessing there is no way a skt 775 heatsing will fit on a X58-UD3R mobo, as i measured roughly from twistclip to twistclip and its about 3", same as my aftermarket 775 bracket :confused:

Most aftermarket coolers come with brackets for the different socket layouts.

mine doesnt say it supports 1366 and the bracket that looks like it might fit is the one i use on my 775 cpu, so im guessing there is only mm difference in spacing.

You also need to worry about space around the socket(capacitors and mosfet heatsinks and also ram sockets)
