How do I reenable "Find drivers on the internet" under XP?

I must've clicked "never look on the internet for drivers", as now whenever I try and install a device, I cannot get it to look on the internet.

Is there anyway I can re-enable this, as I've got an "unknown device" and I don't know what it is.

right click "My computer" goto properties click the hardware tab then click windows update and click 1 of the first 2 options.

Ok, I've done that, but it still won't get the drivers from the internet on my "unknown device" when I try and update the driver

You'll have to find them yourself then manually direct it to them. The online search thing rarely works properly.

Bah, it has worked well for me with some things.

Still, I'm gonna re-install XP soon anyway, so it won't be a problem.
