How do I replace the 3rd rear LED light (mounted under spoiler)? BMW E91 2008

It looks like a complete unit but I cant see how to easily remove it and only the one side has failed. This obviously causes the annoying warning every time I start the car.

It looks like I can buy the replacement unit on eBay. Has anyone done this?

Struggling to google this one and find video demo!

I don't think you can change the LED bulbs, they are usually sealed units :/

Which is highly annoying. Because it means replacing the whole thing. Same when DRLs fail in headlights.

Unless you are up for cracking it open and soldering a new LED on.

Thanks for the response. Luckily it actually appears to be just one of the normal rear side lights. It was someone else that described it as that light. I've now checked myself
