Hi, I wonder if you could help me out.

I have always been a lazy bum conserning partitioning and such, I don't do it!
Lately I have seen my main system use a bit of time to start up and been thinking of how to do something about it. I have a WD 500gb with 16gb cache as my main, I just run everything from here, games movies and whatever. I have second drive 200gb older noisier and slower drive ( I am not at my main right now so don't know the brand. It shouldn't be too important anyways), wich I basicly use to backup my music and movies.

So please tell a lazy dummie how to set disks for a more sleek and faster performance. I have considered getting a Raptor to boot from, but aren't those beast pretty noisy?

Thanks
Curious

If you have the money go for a 74GB raptor. These are the partitions i would put on it.

10GB Windows
40GB Programs and installed games
24GB Random crap

On your 500GB drive leave it how it is and just sort all your files into folder. Well alll your movies ect.

Use the 200GB one to backup your raptor, and any valuable files on the 500GB drive :). Then disconnect the 200GB so you dont have a noisey drive in your pc and just put the power on it when needed :). I would recomend Arconis true image to back all your data up ect unless you like to do it manually :).
