hey guys,

some of you mite have seen my problem i had earlier on this morning.

well i recovered both my HDDs with out needing to re-install anything but a friend has given me a 320GB HDD, and i already have a 320&250GB... so how do i run both 320GB HDD's in RAID 0?

i would like to keep my OS and drivers and other applications separately to my games

cheers guys

do i connect both hdds to my mobo as normal or have they got to be connected together?

sorry i haven't done this before

Connect them to the motherboard as per normal, make sure they are both connected to the same controller (The one that supports raid).

Usually the colour of the SATA ports indicates their location and/or speed.

Controller needs to be configured to RAID mode in BIOS. Configure the Stripe in the controller BIOS.

Be aware that if your OS drive is on the same controller you intend to change into RAID mode your OS might become unbootable with a BSOD and you will need to do some work prior to changing to RAID mode.

Also, any data currently on the drive you want to combine for use in the stripe will be wiped.

i have a msi p55 gd80 and all SATA ports are black other then port 7 and 8

no i will have three hdds altogether, one for my OS and applications and the other two in RAID for my games (Steam and Origin etc)
