How do I start VMware Server?

Hi All

I have just installed VMware Server. I now have a shortcut that says "VMware Server Home Page". When I click this, I just get a browser window opening at:

https://mycomputername:8333/ui/

Then a "Connection Interrupted" error from Firefox. What do I need to get VMware Server operational?

I just want to run the VM of my laptop I created earlier.

I would try using internet explorer first before any other broswer. The web interface of VMware server is horrible and the page it links to is not fully certified - if you go via IE, it tells you its security certificate is not valid and gives you the option to proceed anyway. You may have to add the address to your trusted sites section of IE or firefox. Not sure if this will deal with your particular problem, but its worth a shot.

Thanks for the tips. I just had to replace my computer name with it's IP address and that has got me in.
