Hi guys,

Can anyone explain to me how, when I VPN into work, I stop firefox going through the VPN and using my connection at work?

Web browsing is painfully slow when the VPN is connected as it seems to transmit the request through that rather than just using the DSL connection. The VPN is solely connected so I can remote desktop into the machine there. Firefox is opened up on my machine, not through remote desktop in case that's what you were thinking! ;)

Any ideas? Ta.

Cheers - I'll try that.

edit - I've just done that and now remote desktop doesn't want to connect :(

IP.

I'm not overly au fais with all this VPN lark so for clarity and my own understanding I'll type out how I have it:

Main Machine -> VPN through DSL -> Works Machine

RDP -> VPN -> Works Machine

Firefox on main machine -> DSL

however at present it seems that firefox wants to go -> VPN via DSL -> Works Machine

When I untick that box, nothing seems to route through the VPN.

Cheers guys. Screw that then, it's too much effort! I was only wondering because it slows down my web browsing to 56k speeds but it's no problem, I'll just disconnect if I need to.

Ta!
