How do I tweak CSS Source or Wine to make it run better in Ubuntu

Hi all,

Only game I really play is css source and use ubuntu but have dual boot with Vista so I can play it with a decent performance.

I have just done a fresh install of ubuntu, installed the Nvidia drivers wine and then CSS Source. Im am using a low config which gives me 150fps in windows but only 20fps in ubuntu making it unplayable.

Any ideas how to improve this?

i had between 60-100fps in Tf2/CSS when I last tried, think I may have set dxlevel 80 is well.

It was a while ago.
