How do I use quidco? slightly confused?

So does that mean you get money just from looking at the sites or do you have to buy something aswell?
You have to buy something. You only get paid a percentage of what the retailer confirms to Quidco that you've spent.

I have a question about Quidco as I've just started using it. My girlfriend booked a hotel on the Hilton site for her parents and since I'd just signed up to Quidco I told her to login to my Quidco then go through and book it. It was supposed to be something like 15% cashback. It says it's tracked in Quidco but this was a month ago now and it hasn't confirmed. Considering it was bought on her credit card and in her name (not mine), am I likely to actually get it?

I've had a few items that never showed up on Quidco when I purchased via their links. I will check out TopCashback.

For Quidco I always use a different web browser and clear history/cookies before using it, never had a problem.

It may have been AdBlock blocking it...maybe ¬_¬

Anyway I just realised why I stuck with Quidco too, when you register a payment card if you use that card in stores physically you can earn cashback too. I just logged in and have earned a mighty 34p from an £11 purchase from Halfords last week :p

Quidco only really pays off if you're going to be buying things where there's cashback from, rather than buying because of the cashback. Otherwise it's crap.

Top cash back has been an utter farce for me. They did not track my order from buy mobile phones and I contacted them and they phoned top cash back directly with the contact they have who confirmed to them that they would process it. 2months later still nothing.

No number to call never answer tickets just a joke really.

Been two weeks, still waiting on £60 cashback from AA breakdown cover D: still says tracked.. first time I've used it, probably something to do with the AA cooling off period but we'll have to see.. woulda paid for the cover anyway so any bonus is good :)

All these sites are based on conversion, i.e. your hit turns into a sale with their cookie in your machine and they then get the commission on the sale, which they then pass on to you - i.e. quidco.

Many of these websites are part of what's called affiliate groups, ecommerce sites use them to punt out deals / voucher codes / discounts of some description and thus get more hits and sales.

In reality this is nothing more than getting discount in store or getting a coupon through the post - however, it's such an easy way to save cash and with quidco it feels like you're earning money. Which, you can do though various methods make some profit.

dont think ive ever had cashback not track through quidco, maybe your cookies are set up wrong if 40% are not getting their money

been using it for about 5/6 years since it started, had a couple pay out twice by accident which was pretty awesome :D

The point is that if they don't have any offers that you would benefit from, then it's just a waste of time, so for some people they won't benefit from Quidco at all.

So don't use it then. What's the problem?

Besides, considering the sheer number of retailers etc on Quidco and TCB, I find it hard to believe that there isn't at least something on there that most people would benefit from.

Never had a problem with Quidco. Been using it about 4 years. Great for getting cash back off big spends like at Dell and taking out new services like Virgin Media. Don't always remember for things like Play. But they tend to be so low cost purchases you only get a few pence back
