How do i use the G25 in Shift?

Ive installed all the drivers but when i go into shift the keyboard is still in control. Ive hcgaed the 'preset' in controls to g25 but still nothing

I used an extra file to make the wheel feel more stable but you also have to choose the right preset control system in NFS: Shift options

thanx i got it to work work. im using win 7 by the way. apprently the cd that comes with it is a little outdated so i ghad to download the win 7 driversofthe web.

Im just going to fiddle around with the controls for a bit

ok i have another question. why is the steering wheel so stiff and sometimes hard to turn. is this to do with sensitivity

I have had a G25 for quite a while now and have played most recent driving games. R factor, GTR Evo, Grid, Dirt, Dirt 2 etc etc. In my opinion, Shift is the worst game out of all of them. I spent hours trying to fine tune the wheel settings but couldnt get anywhere.

The sensitivity of the accelerator and brake is crazy. You only have to look at the accelerator and your wheelspinning all over the place. It is horrible and I eventually gave up trying.

Dirt 2 on the other hand is absolutely amazing with the g25.

If anyone here has managed to get thier g25 working as it should in shift then I'd be very interested to learn what settings they used.

Either you have the centre spring switched on which would make the wheel feel harder to turn depending on how high the setting is. Or its just the rotation degree setting. If you try to turn the wheel further than the rotation you have set in the options, the FFB motors will stop you from turning the wheel beyond those settings.

shift works perfect for me. on defualt settings
