This has started a right good debate in the office.
I started my email :

I have booked St Johns Ambulance for Oct 29th & 30th from 10am to 12!!!!

Is it AM or PM?

AM doesn't look right but if I put PM it looks like the course is 14 hours long!!

I also don't want ot write 10 to noon.

Help.

12pm - lunchtime
12am - midnight

Edit:

From wiki:
To avoid confusion, the correct designation for twelve o'clock is 12 noon or 12 midnight. Alternatively, the twenty-four-hour-clock system may be used. The abbreviation a.m. stands for ante-meridiem (before the Sun has crossed the line) and p.m. for post-meridiem (after the Sun has crossed the line). At 12 noon the Sun is at its highest point in the sky and directly over the meridian. It is therefore neither "ante-" nor "post-".[8]

Unless everyone in your office is legendarily thick then just put 10am-12pm, if they don't understand it's their own damn fault.

If by chance they are, then put 10am-12, 10am-noon or 10am-midday.

PM, unless you have an utterly pedantic **** muncher in your office who will be smarmy saying "but actually the instant of noon is not AM or pm"

if you do have one of these people punch him in the balls.
