Will be getting a 360 in a couple of months and will be connecting it up to my Acer 19" monitor.
My question is how do I connect both my 360 and monitor up??
Thanks in advance guys.

Does this cable allow me to have both PC and 360 hooked up at the same time, and switch between the two???
No. If you have multiple inputs on your monitor, use them. If not, you'll either have to havea KVM switch or just switch cables each time.

That has leads for the ps/2 ports of the keyboard and mouse so I dont think you want that one exactly.
I just used the gender bender (included in the offical I think) and swapped it over, only took 5 secs a time

Reading the 360 FAQ thread would probably have saved starting the thread.

I've looked at it and I still can't seem to find the component that will allow my Monitor to be hooked up to an Xbox 360 AND my PC at the same time, with just a switch to go between the two.

i am faced with the same issue. there is a "switching box" type of thing i've seen that is basically a white box with inputs on the back and output on the front that should allow you to do this, and it has a black dial on the front that allows you to switch between inputs. i don't think ocuk sell them so i can't say where to get it from as i think they are a competitor. i seem to remember these things being used for sharing printers etc.

i'm pretty sure it will work, however i don't have the cash to buy it until the end of the month (it's not expensive) so i can't test it. such a thing does exist though!

the sticky gives info about the vga monitor cable, but not about the means to have both a pc and 360 hooked up to the same monitor at the same time, so you can switch between inputs without unplugging the cables (not when i last looked anyway).

You didnt actually state that you wanted to connect a PC and a 360 to your monitor at the same time in the opening question.

Still, it's fairly clear that he meant PC, not monitor.
Thanks :D
