How do people go through so many games?

i usually have a load of games that i play at one time.

just have so many now bought from steam sales, its getting difficult to get through them all :P

some games im not that bothered about completly finishing thou, sometimes its just nice to have a selection to play for a short time, even if u dont get very far with them.

most games only cost me a few quid, so a few hours entertainment from them is perfectly fine

I am not going to list what games I have to complete because it will be my whole steam list which is 100+ games except for 2 or 3 that I actually completed :p

My mate has 72 games on steam.......he loved telling me that until I worked out he will have paid approx £1,800 on them LOL

They key thing is to not keep starting more and more games. Try and keep it 3-4 at a time and different types of games as well.

I tend to jump around through a few games at a time, but with Duke Nukem Forever for example I just don't have the time or inclination to try it. Multiplayer games such as L4D1+2, Counter-strike (various versions), Supreme Commander 2, Starcraft 2, Call of Duty 4 version 100, Battlefield and World of Tanks are all examples of games I may pick up form time to time and play for ages, then move onto one of the others. I find it dull to stick to just one game, I rarely complete SP games, even Portal 2 dried up for me as I found it too long as I get bored. Multiplayer is where the fun is.

I may have got a little sidetracked there. Basicly in answer to the question, I just dip in and out and only select the odd game I want to spend more time on. :)

I get around this by playing one MP game on and off as the mood takes and one SP game no matter how many I have installed and I wont play another until the SP Is completed for example I have just finished Deus Ex so I have just started Metro 2033 and I'm always on and off BC2

I like this idea :D

I used to play a lot of games then world of warcraft and women happened. Between the two I don't have a lot of spare time for much else

I have maybe 8 or so hours a week on a good week to game, usually spend most of it CSSing with old pals tbh or procrastinating on the internet

See that's another thing. Aside from all these games, I like to do the forums thing a lot and quite a bit of browsing. Then there's the TV, and then there's the bluray movies. And THEN there's the catching up of dozens of old DVD tv recordings from months ago. And THEN... :D The media world we live in gives us great choice, no doubt about that, but overwhelmingly so.

Wow, it's interesting all you people that have so many games. I have just 10 games to play, plus F1 2011 which is just the ongoing time trial, and quakelive if I ever decide to return to it. But 151 games?? That would have cost a small fortune :p

^ meh steam sales mate, not that expensive, only full price game I ever bought was NBA 2K12

Yes agreed, if people are happy to spend a few quid on tons of games, fine by me. But then as an analogy, it's a bit like if someone could buy dozens and dozens of ferrari's. You would really appreciate just one ferrari, would look after it, drive it, really get stuck into it and enjoy it. With lots of them though, they don't become as precious and you don't really have the same appreciation for any one of them.

I still haven't completed Mass Effect 2. It takes me on Average 18 months to finish a single player game like Mass Effect 1, I've almost finished Witcher 1. Mainly because the spare time I do have I love to play multiplayer games.
