really oh dearhow do you want to compare them? The 9600 will perform better, the 9400GT will be quieter and use less power. Also presumably the 9400 is cheaper![]()
I think Alex was thinking Nvidia 9600...really oh dearits' an 9600 ATi card
Phew just play the occasional game nothing special. my card is quite old so I thought a new should be more powerful.haha oh dear, sorryyea was thinking NVidia 9600. Well, the 9400GT will have a better featureset and should perform better than ATi's 9600, also it'll be quieter.
What are you intending to use it for?
my card is quite old so I thought a new should be more powerful.
Will this work with my mobo http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-194-SP&tool=3
Whilst you're right in most cases, the 9400GT is a dire card. For the same price as a 9400GT you could bag a second hand x1950pro, possibly even a 2900XT.
If you have a specific budget, we'll be able to find you a much better card than the *spit* 9400GT![]()
Yes, it will.
How peculiar that your mobo has AGP and PCI-e
*edit*
All though it will work with your mobo, it's a fairly highly priced card for what it is.. considering the 4850 is only a few pounds more at the moment
I reckon the 9400GT is over 5 times faster than the radeon 9600.
However, the 9400GT is not an ideal card - what is your budget?
Also, what is your planned usage and make/model of your power supply?
