What's wrong with Nvidia 9400GT ?

Nothing, if you can get one for a tenner. At near enough £40, it's a massive waste of money.

At the low end of the market, you're much better off looking to buy second hand tbh, as people will be selling their legacy hardware for peanuts

Second hand are usually knackered and I saw my 9600 selling for £35 too

You could get second hand 8800GT or 4850 for a tad more money which would be infinitely better than a 9400GT, but then again you'd probably be looking at a psu upgrade too.

There used to be a passive 4850 by Gigabyte, doubt its still in production though.

If you are looking for a new passive card for a bit of gaming - I would suggest giving this card a look. Here is a review, this review also shows the performance of the 9500GT (which is almost twice as fast as the 9400GT).
